Diary 31/10/11

In my media lesson today I have been tackling the issue I have been having using adobe premier to create my mood board in a video format. Originally the video files I chose to use where uncomputable with the software so this involved having to re download the videos in a different format. Once I had all this working I was having trouble getting my music file to play. The problem was with the scratch disks selected so this involved changing them around which after done allowed it all to work. I have now completed my mood video and will be exporting and uploading to the blog soon. Also whilst in class today I noticed that although the slideshows of my photo shoots work well on normal computers and present my pictures well, they would not play or work at school. Hopefully I will be able to get this software glitch sorted soon. However just as a precaution to the possibility of my final marker having the same problem I will be uploading them also in a different format. Possibly a zipped file containing all photos that will be hosted and able to be accessed from a file sharing site. Finally at home today I have completed a piece on the mise en scene of my photo shoot and why I made the choices of costume and props that I did.

Since creating the proposal I have released that a fortnightly magazine isn't a ideal release time. So I have changed it to a monthly release - 18/11/11

This is my second on location photo shoot. By having this it gives me a variety of costumes and locations to allow my magazine to look more professional and authentic.

This is the second of my photo shoots. which was shot on location I am very happy with these pictures as not only have ma captured some fantastic photos but in my opinion relate to my genre of music very well.

Resizing Images In Bulk

After I had all my photos I intended to upload them to an image hosting sight such as flickr or picasa. However I encountered the problem that the file sizes where way too large. To fix this I learnt how to resize images in bulk to save allot of time as I have around 300+ photos. This is a quick video filmed on camstudio demonstrating how I did this

This is the first of  my photo shoots i conducted for my magazine. It was shot in the studio with a white background as this will enable easier cutting out of my model in photo shop when i come to create my magazine. Whilst doing my photo shoot i also created a time lapse of events as shown below.

This week I have been creating my proposal. This involved getting a rough idea about how i want my magazine to look. This went really well and quickly. However I have encountered a problem on my home computer in which a memory dump has been performed so i need to recover the proposal before i can upload.

Diary Entry 10/10/11

This week in media we have been working on our key concepts of a music magazine. This involved me making a prezi. This has taken me allot of time and has been a very challenging task. I had lots of problems with working prezzi at home. For example when I would be typing and pressed backspace it would take me back to the previous page instead of deleting the character. As you can see from last weeks entry and this weeks i have been using an online application which generates my text into spoken word. The site used for this is spokentext.net.
